Scottish-based John Clark Motor Group is an award-winning, family-run business representing well known automotive brands. They have over 1,200 members of staff, and cover vehicles including; cars, vans and motorbikes, from sales to servicing and maintenance.
The issue.
John Clark Motor Group had multiple suppliers across several waste streams for sites around the country, including dry waste, recycling, hazardous waste, and waste oil.
Due to the nature of multiple locations, their admin processes to manage the group’s waste was ineffective and incredibly time-consuming.
The solution.
Initially, SWRnewstar managed dry waste, then introduced recycling collections. The service later expanded to include hazardous waste and waste oil collections.
The hazardous waste solution covers the inspection, compliance, collection and reprocessing of all waste oils JCMG branches produce.
Waste oil is fully recovered and processed to produce high specification fuel oil for use in industrial boilers, or alternatively recycled for re-use as base oil.
Our services ensure the hazardous waste and waste oil service complies with respective legislation such as the current Carriage of Dangerous Goods, Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment and ADR Regulations.
“Our long-term partnership demonstrates clear commercial benefits and the John Clark Motor Group is delighted that our carbon saving reached 289 tonnes per quarter.”
The results.
The combination of John Clark Motor Group’s expansion and focus on recycling has increased their carbon saving from 110 tonnes per quarter to 289 tonnes of carbon per quarter.
