Covid-19 | Coronavirus

As the UK responds to Covid-19 SWRnewstar is continuing to operate as normally as possible.

Response Team

A Response Team is in place to minimise disruption. Representing departments from across the business the Response Team are in contact daily to develop, review and implement plans, continually adapting as the situation evolves. Effective communication channels are established to cascade messages and processes to the relevant people at the right time. The Business Continuity Plan is available, if you would like a copy please contact: enquiries@swrnewstar.co.uk

Our people

Following government advice on Monday 16 March over 90% of SWRnewstar’s team is working remotely. Home working is running successfully for all business functions. ‘Social distancing’ guidance has been implemented and all non-essential business travel stopped.

Our customers

We are supporting customers through this difficult period, talking to our contacts to understand the immediate impact that Covid-19 is having on their business and identifying where short term flexibility is going to be helpful. You can contact us by email and phone in the usual way.

Our supply partners

We are working closely with our supply partners to ensure collections continue with minimal disruption. Robust Business Continuity Plans, focussed on commitment to safety and service, are evident throughout our network. The Cabinet Office has also confirmed Key Worker status for the waste sector.

All latest updates will be available here.
